Squad training
The Lloyd Cole Surf Academy has its own squad of junior surfers that are being trained for competitions, photo shoots and a possible career in surfing. The team has been handpicked by Lloyd for showing a high level of skill and a true commitment to the sport.qu

Squad coaching takes place every Sunday morning following the ‘Grom training’ sessions. When the surf is flat training will take place in the classroom and will consist of watching footage, fine tuning technique, learning about contest strategies and the importance of discipline and fitness within surfing.

Squad members are picked from those that regularly attend the ‘Grom’ training sessions and show the necessary talent and determination required to compete.
